I didn't do this girls pose any kind of justice....believe me...
But trial and error, trial and error (emphasis on error).....
I need to make sure I have all my colors on my palette out, i forget it dries so fast you have to blend quickly...once I get a better handle on the way it reacts, i can loose that damned black brush work....I need a brown micron as well...
but anyway, it was a warm-up like i stated, ill get better with these....
I feel a lot more confident working without ref in Watercolor though....Im still learning how to make the forms do what I need.
Don't know what you think you missed...if one has to study the reference with a very fine toothed comb I'd say you got it and that looks to be the case here to me.
Good job on this so far, at least. Watercolor to me is the most unforgiving art medium ever to reach human hands, so I'll just stick to my pencil and paper. You? you just keep at it, 'cause this is pretty good!
